A submeter is a meter that allows for the monitoring of usage on a section of a distribution network, and will contribute a portion of the consumption recorded on the main meter. So, the main meter records the total consumption and the submeter records the part of consumption attributed to the submetered area only.

To view your submeters usage, go to Performance > Tracking and select the building in which the submeter is located. Once there, go to the Submeters chart.

Please note: you should only set up a submeter if you have set up the main meter that records the main consumption for the building.

How to set up a submeter

On a new meter's page, select Submeter as meter type in the Category dropdown.

You can also check and change the details about your meters by clicking on the pencil icon next to an already existing meter you are interested in.
