How to correct an error in the data

You can either delete or edit an error in a meter reading that has been entered incorrectly.

Where and when is the data error?

Before correcting the data error, it is important to correctly identify the meter associated with it. To do so, please follow the recommended steps.

Single-building users can start from Point 3.

  1. Go to "Performance > Tracking" or "Performance > Comparison" and identify the month you want to focus on. Make sure to have the "Company, Country or Group" filters set (i.e., do not select a specific building).
  2. Go to Performance > League and identify the building that you want to focus on
  3. Go to Performance > Tracking and select your building
  4. Press on the "Per Meter" button (tip: if you have many meters, select only the fuel in focus. Note that archived meters and submeters will also appear.)
  5. Once you've found the meter and the period (i.e. you can change the period view all the way down to 30-minute intervals), click on Data > Buildings & Transport > View data
  6. Open the readings page by clicking on the name of the meter in focus

Correct the reading

Once the row has been identified with the error, use the appropriate 'Delete' or 'Edit' option.

  • If you are recording meter readings, an error in the data will be highlighted in red.
  • If you are recording consumption data, the error will not be highlighted in red. You need to find this yourself according to the investigation suggested as per above.

Note:

After correcting a data point, there may be an occasional delay in the results display updating. This is due to the system having to re-calculate and re-plot the results. If the chart has not been updated within 24 hours, please contact us to request your account display to be refreshed.
