The floor area of your building is important as it allows us to calculate how much energy your building uses per metre squared.

We use this figure to compare your building with other buildings of a similar type which is important in benchmarking.

To add a building's floor area:

1. go to "Settings > Buildings"

2. click on the building's edit button in the 'actions' column. This will open the building's profile edit page

3. on the building's profile edit page, scroll down until the "Benchmarks" section

4. click on the "+" button of the "Total building floor area" box

5. add your value, unit and date and press 'add new floor area'

6. finally, press "save" at the end of the page.

• start from point 3
• there is no need to click on a "+" button in point 4
