How do I delete my business?

You can request to permanently delete your business at any time and for any reason. To do so, go to "Settings > Business > Subscription" and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.


What happens when my business is deleted?


  • You will not be able to access Pilio services for this business.
  • Your business data stored in Pilio's servers will be permanently deleted.
  • You will not receive messages sent from Pilio regarding this business.
  • The Pilio license associated with this business will terminate and any recurring payments cancelled.
  • If you are deleting your business before the license expiry date, any remaining days will not be refunded pro-rata.
  • You will still be able to create new businesses using your account. These will need a new Pilio license.

Before deleting your business, you should:


  1. Make a local copy or backup of your data:
  2. For meters' data, visit "Data > Export data". Click here for the instructions.
  3. For your usage/cost/carbon results, visit the sections:
  4. Performance
  5. download the data by clicking on the "CSV" button on the top left corner of the table below the chart
  6. download the charts by clicking the 'burger' menu on the top right corner of each chart (or take screenshots)
  7. Report sections.
  8. For members/groups/buildings/meters details, visit the Settings section.
  9. Inform the other members of your business regarding the business deletion



Business deletion is permanent.


If you are not presently planning to use the Pilio software but may consider returning to it in the future, we recommend temporary deactivation instead of deletion. This will happen automatically once your license expires.
